Every year I create a character based on the signs of the Japanese zodiac and 2024 is the year of the Dragon so here is Lungo. His name comes from the fact that dragons are generally associated with streams and rivers in Japanese culture. River is “kawa” in Japanese, which is also a word for coffee in French (coming from the Arabic word "qahwa"). As dragons have a long body I chose to call him Lungo like the coffee.

🇫🇷 Tous les ans je crée un personnage en fonction des signes du zodiaque japonais et 2024 est l’année du Dragon alors voici Lungo. Son nom vient du fait que les dragons sont généralement associés aux cours d’eau et aux rivières dans la culture japonaise. Rivière se dit “kawa” en japonais, qui est aussi un mot désignant le café en français (dérivé de l’arabe “qahwa”). Comme les dragons ont un corps allongé j’ai choisi de l’appeler Lungo comme le café.
