This illustration is part of a diptych titled “Tonko vs. Justice-kun”.

The inspiration for this piece comes from my love for retro Japanese tokusatsu series mixed with costumes and masks from the traditional Noh theater and the bold and vibrant graphic style of Japanese kites.

This side of the diptych shows our original character Tonko. The other side shows another original character, Justice-kun. What are they arguing about? Probably just food…

🇫🇷 Cette illustration fait partie d’un diptyque qui a pour titre “Tonko vs. Justice-kun”.

L'inspiration pour cette œuvre vient de mon amour pour les séries tokusatsu japonaises mélangé avec des costumes et des masques du théâtre traditionnel Nô et le style graphique audacieux et coloré des cerfs-volants japonais. Cette partie du diptyque montre notre personnage original Tonko. L'autre partie montre un autre personnage original, Justice-kun.
À quel sujet se disputent-ils ? Probablement juste la nourriture…
